SIERRA'S is a full-line craft store with outstanding collections of products in fabrics, yarns, art supplies, floral, framing, scrapbooking, craft wood, beads, candles, home decor, cake and candy decorating, vinyl and much more. We are a member of the Sierra Pacific Crafts cooperative, an organization of similar stores located throughout the country. Each of the SPC stores is independently owned, and this helps to make each store unique -- even though we all benefit from our member sharing and similar programs. Other member stores of Sierra Pacific Crafts can be found at www.sierrapacificcrafts.org.
SIERRA'S is owned by Dave and Emma Gebo, long time retailers in Pocatello, ID. They opened their first craft store as Ben Franklin Crafts at 1570 Yellowstone in Pocatello in 1993 and then changed the name to Crafts and Frames in 1996. In 2006 they took the opportunity to move into the location occupied by Michael's Village Craft and changed our name to SIERRA'S -- the first Sierra Pacific Crafts "franchise" store. SIERRA'S is managed by Renee Barber, and staffed by an outstanding group of associates who care about people and crafting. We do our best to help to answer your questions, find the products you need, and help you create a product of which you can be proud.
Renee comes to SIERRA'S with an extensive background in management in both the bakery and fabric industry -- she's just right for the job. Emma was recently honored by the Craft and Hobby Association, receiving the Meritorious Award of Honor for her extensive efforts in helping to develop the governance policies for the association and then serving as secretary for 3 years. Her background in education and administration was called upon to provide this assistance. She's a Ph.D. in Education Administration, and served as the Department Chairman for Home Economics and Vocational Teacher Education at Idaho State University for 12 years prior to joining the family businesses on a full-time basis in 1994. Dave is a semi-retired Pharmacist, having owned numerous pharmacies, serving on various boards, and now realizing that he can't just quit! They have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren, and enjoy outdoor activities like skiing and whitewater rafting.
